The Global Teachers for a Sustainable Future (GTSF) partnership aims to create new evidence-based teaching and learning practices in Higher Education institutions that promote education for sustainable development and global citizenship in home learning environments.

The project is led by Spanish Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera in Valencia with partner organisations in Ukraine, Austria, Germany, Romania, Türkiye, Spain and Sweden (Jönköping University). It aims to produce knowledge that can be easily transferred from the countries and partners involved in the project. In addition, the project wants to foster global mindsets in students, to train sustainable teachers and to contribute to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. A key concept of the project is "internationalisation at home," i.e to offer teacher education students the possibily to gain insights into internationalisation wihtout having to travel around the world.

Dr. Maria Bäcke is the project leader for the Swedish team.
